New Stats!

Leah had her 2 month check-up on Friday. She weighed in at 9 lbs, 0 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. So, a full 3 lbs heavier and 3 inches taller than she was when we first met. She was, and still is, in the 10th percentile for her weight and the 20th percentile for her height. It's crazy to think that some babies are born at the weight it took her 2 months to reach. She's a wee one!

Ok, so we don't post pictures of Leah in the tub because we take her in the shower with us. And that'd just be weird if we took pictures of that. Sooo, here are some POST-bath photos for you. Check out this little cutie!

Leah's First Rodeo

We took Leah to the Brazoria County Fair and Rodeo on Friday night. She loved staring at us as we pushed the stroller around and even had a bit of fun at the rodeo, as you can see in the photo above. Shortly after this picture was taken, she had a complete meltdown and we called it a night. But it was fun while it lasted, and we ate more yummy (yet nasty) fair food than is recommended for anyone.

And how good does Jared look in his get-up? I love it!

Leah has recently learned how to smile-- It's so cute! Oddly enough, she seems to be quite the morning bird, and has her happiest period in the morning. Here's some evidence for ya:

She's graduated!

Leah has finally graduated from Size newborn diapers to Size 1 diapers. Here's why...

She's got a wee bit of a plumber's butt... AND a receding hairline and thinning hair to boot. She's like a little plumber! At any rate, there's no way we could contain the poo with half of her butt hanging out. (And yes, after all of these posts, she will certainly kill us when she reaches age 13.)

Welcome Evan Matthew Judy!

A huge congratulations to Josh and Kim! Evan Matthew Judy was born on October 4th at 12:38 am after a ridiculously long labor. The little guy weighed in at 7 lbs, 0 oz. and came 2 weeks before his due date. We're so happy for the new family and can't wait to meet little Evan.

An hour in the life of Leah

Leah eats. Leah spits up on self. Repeatedly. Leah sits quietly on couch staring at... something? Leah makes crying noise. This is what I see...


I take Leah to her room for a change. I take her excessively dirty diaper and clothes off and begin to slide new diaper underneath her. Leah proceeds to pee on herself. I clean pee off of Leah and the changing table and put new diaper and outfit on. We walk away from changing table. Leah spits up on floor.
