Happy Easter!

One of my favorite songs is the Revelation Song.  If you don't know it, I highly recommend it. (Although I have a special fondness for it because my friend Paige is awesome at singing it.  Awesome.  So it always tugs at my heart a bit when I hear it for that very reason. In fact, I have just now gotten to the point of hearing it at church without getting teary-eyed because it's just not the same.  Anyway, I digress...)  I bring it up now, because it being Easter Sunday, it's quite hard not to sing a song that starts off like this...

Our Easter was quite the quiet one, celebrated by just our little foursome.  It was quite nice and offered up some time for reflection and gratitude.  (And temper tantrums, but let's not talk about that right now.)

After breakfast, the kids got to hunt for their Easter baskets.  Leah found hers hanging on the pot rack!

 I love this picture.  It makes me laugh every time I look at it.  Apparently Isaac was calling it quits on the egg hunt and hightailing it, leaving Jared behind with his very manly basket.

Bath toys, Silly Towels, Ball Poppers, oh my!!

A few weeks ago, my oldest friend Jenny (seriously, best buds since first grade) and her husband Dan came over to visit.  And they brought fun bath toys!!! Leah and Isaac looooove the bath markers, and Jared and I love their new towels.

Isaac loved his new markers so much that he learned to write his name!

Ok, maybe he didn't really write that.  (Do you see Leah's art work on the wall?)

Leah was a little more serious about her artistic endeavors.

 And the towels.  Oh, we love the towels.  They are adorable! 

Leah likes to "Roar!" like the little dinosaur she is.  

My sister got Isaac a ball popper for his birthday.  Since a bunch of new toys came into the house at once, I decided to tuck this one away for a bit to pull out in an emergency.  And let me tell you, what a wise idea that was!  The three of us were pretty sick a few weeks ago, and out came the ball popper!  It provided great entertainment for them while I got to lay on the couch with my eyes glazed over.  :)

 Isaac reaaaally wanted to put his little car in there.  At this point, a number of unpoppable items have been dropped into the ball popper. 

Then Leah discovered the air blowing out of the top, which she thought was fantastic!

So many funny things about the picture below.

A 13-month-old drinking a bottle (Gasp!!  But that's completely frowned upon!), in a bean bag chair, in a tent.  In our living room.  It's April, and it's cold and rainy outside.  We do weird things to entertain ourselves indoors.
