Little Chicks!
We came home from our trip to find that some of our chicks had hatched. (As of this writing, 36 out of 42 incubated eggs have hatched.) We had Leah practicing "gentle". She wanted to grab the chicks, but was appeased with being able to poke them (gently, of course!).

Oh my goodness! That's quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. She's so sweet! And yay for chicks.
I'd ask to show them to Mia, but after tonight... not so sure...
those chicks are so cute (and leah too, of course)!!!
it's funny that kids can understand "gentle". i thought for sure ella wouldn't get the concept down, but she loves to poke lincoln in the eyes as she tells us that those are in fact his eyes. and yes, she has gotten down the concept of "gentle".
